The menu has been changed away from a traditional British-style menu that is common across many bars here - to one that encompasses fresh food that is cooked and presented well. The menu includes healthier and vegetarian options such as seafood and salads as well as various meat dishes and specials.

The majority of our food is prepared on site. For example, we make many of our own sauces, our Thai fish cakes are proving to be one of our more popular dishes and we also create our own cheesecake - normally based around a liqueur from the bar! (we have used Baileys, Archers, Kahlua, Tia Maria and Malibu for instance).

We shop daily to ensure fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables are sourced from the best of the local suppliers.

We have built a Tapas menu that is gaining in popularity and we seek to add new dishes to the menu as we can.

Our chef, Tony, is a key part of the team here at Pinoccio's and helps to ensure that we can deliver the right quality from the kitchen to your table. Tony has been living on the Costa del Sol for 14 years and brings his experience of Spain as well as his knowledge of food to help us continue to build a great menu.

Our intention is to combine all of these elements together to create what we hope is a pleasant experience for you - whether you choose to join us for a meal or simply a drink whilst enjoying the stunning views from our terrace.

All About Your Hosts

We are Simon and Elaine - partners in life and in our business.

Elaine had always had the idea of opening a cafe bar or bistro. With 13 years experience in the corporate hospitality business, Elaine has very clear ideas about how we deliver service at Pinoccios.

Simon has 25 years experience in financial services and as a management consultant - none of which has been in the catering business. He sees this as an opportunity to jump off the corporate treadmill and out of the rat race into a much more enjoyable arena.

Both see this as a means of supporting a long and enjoyable life in Spain.

We had been coming to Benalmadena on holiday over the past few years and decided that this was the place that we wanted to establish our business. One of the things that we found was that there were very few places that served up the type of food that we like to eat within a pleasant environment and with great service. What we are now doing is creating that type of place at Pinoccio's.

We were fortunate to find the right bar for sale - a great location with fantastic, panoramic views from a private terrace. The bar and its furniture had recently been updated to a high standard and no work was required to get the bar fit for our vision.
